Airforce Airmen Rally Schedule 2023
Airforce Airmen Recruitment Test will be held at Air Force Station, Tambaram, Chennai as per the selection programme given below. The Airforce Airmen recruitment test shall be conducted from 6 AM onwards as per the details given below.
1-2 February 2023
- Group/ Trade– Group ‘Y’/ Medical Assistant
- Districts– All the districts of States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Union Territory of Puducherry (including Yanam).
- Activities– Physical Fitness Test, Written Test, Adaptability Test – 1, Adaptability Test – 2 & Medical Appointments.
4-5 February 2023
- Group/ Trade– Group ‘Y’/ Medical Assistant
- Districts– All the districts of States of Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh
- Activities– Physical Fitness Test, Written Test, Adaptability Test – 1, Adaptability Test – 2 & Medical Appointments.
7-8 February 2023
- Group/ Trade– Group ‘Y’/ Medical Assistant (Diploma / B.SC in Pharmacy)
- Districts– All the districts of States of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Union Territory of Puducherry (including Yanam).
- Activities– Physical Fitness Test, Written Test, Adaptability Test – 1, Adaptability Test – 2 & Medical Appointments.
Only candidates fulfilling the domicile requirements and eligibility conditions, reporting at Air Force Station, Tambaram, Chennai upto 10 AM (cut–off time) on 01 February 2023, 04 February 2023 and 07 February 2023 shall be permitted to appear in the recruitment test.
Airforce Airmen Age Limit
The crucial date for determining the age limit will be the closing date for receipt of Airforce Airmen Recruitment application form. Only Matriculation/ SSC/ 10th class marksheet/ Birth Certificate issued by concerned Education Board/ Competent Authority will be considered as proof of Date of Birth.
Medical Assistant:-
- Candidate should be unmarried and born between 27 June 2002 and 27 June 2006 (both dates inclusive).
Medical Assistant (Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy):-
- Unmarried: Candidate should be born between 27 June 1999 and 27 June 2004 (both dates inclusive).
- Married: Candidate should be born between 27 June 1999 and 27 June 2002 (both dates inclusive).

Air Force Airmen Eligibility Criteria
Medical Assistant
- Passed 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent/ two years’ vocational course (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with minimum 50% marks in English from an educational board listed as COBSE member.
Medical Assistant (Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy)
- Passed 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with minimum 50% marks in English from an educational board listed as COBSE member.
- Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council / Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

Airforce Airmen Medical Standards: –
Height | Minimum height 152.5 cms. |
Chest | The chest should be well proportioned and minimum range of expansion of 5 cms. |
Weight | Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF. |
Hearing | Able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately. |
Dental | Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. |
Visual Standards | Visual Acuity- 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/9 each eye. Maximum limits of Refractive Error- Not exceeding + 3.50D including Astigmatism. Colour Vision- CP-III. |
Air Force Airmen Selection Process
Document Scrutiny
Original Educational Certificates (10th, 12th mark sheet and Degree/Diploma & Mark Sheets of B.SC/Diploma in Pharmacy) and other required applicable original documents like NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate,
Son of serving Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) certificate (or), Discharge Book, Service Book, Service Particular Certificate/Casualty Service Certificate / Discharge Certificate (if discharged from Army/Navy/Government organisation), Consent form, passport size colour photographs and domicile proof.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Medical Assistant- 1.6 Km run to be completed within 7 minutes (For candidates up to the age of 21 Years). Medical Assistant (Holding Diploma / B.SC in Pharmacy)- 1.6 Km run to be completed within 7 minutes 30 Seconds.
In addition, Candidates will have to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
Written Test
All candidates who qualify Air Force Airmen PFT shall undertake Written Test on the same day. The Air Force Airmen Written Test will be objective type and question paper shall be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper. Answers are to be annotated on OMR sheet.
Duration of the Airforce Airmen written test will be 45 minutes and shall comprise of English (20 questions) as per (10+2) CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) (30 questions). 1/4 (0.25) marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer or choosing more than one option as answer.
Adaptability Test-1
Who pass the Written Test will have to undertake Air Force Airmen Adaptability Test-1 on the same or subsequent day depending on the local conditions. Adaptability Test-1 is to assess suitability of a candidate for employment in the Indian Air Force (IAF) which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions.
Adaptability Test-2
All candidates who pass Adaptability Test-1 will have to undertake Air Force Airmen Adaptability Test-2 as per policy in vogue. Adaptability Test-2 is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of Indian Air Force (IAF) and are able to adjust to the Military way of life.
