BSF Veterinary Staff Eligibility Criteria |
HC (Veterinary)
- Candidates should have passed 12th Class from a recognized Board.
- Minimum one year course in Veterinary Stock Assistant.
- At least one year post qualification experience.
Constable (Kennelman)
- Candidates should have passed 10th Class from a recognized Board.
- Two years’ experience in handling of animals from Government Veterinary hospital or Government Farm or dispensary or Veterinary College.

Phase-1) BSF Veterinary Staff Written Exam
1st phase of Written Exam will be conducted at the various Examination Centres. There will be one composite paper for two hours duration. BSF Veterinary Staff Question papers will be Objective Type with multiple choices on OMR based answer sheet and shall be consisting of the following subjects:-

Part-1 (At The Level Of 12th Standard / HR. Secondary)

Part-2 (Professional Course level i.e. Veterinary Stock Assistant)
- Knowledge of Vet Medicines and their use – 20 Marks

- General knowledge of disease, treatment & Anatomy of horses, dogs & camels – 15 Marks

Trade Knowledge Test– Knowledge of breeds of animals (Cattle, Equines, Dogs, Camels, Poultry), General Knowledge of local animal diseases and breeding, Knowledge of Local Animal Husbandry Practices ( Animal Housing, Feeding, Grooming, Restraining, Equipment, Seasonal Care, Body parts life span).

Successful candidates in 1st phase Written Examination will appear before the selection board for 2nd Phase Exam (Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Documentation & Medical Examination) on a specified date, which will be communicated to them through e-mail or message or on BSF Website.

Documentation
Original testimonials/certificates of the candidate will be checked to confirm the eligibility of the candidates at the Centre. If candidate does not produce original documents like age proof, education/ technical qualification, caste certificate, experience certificate etc, he/she will be disqualified.
Medical Examination (DME)
Candidates who will qualify in all the above stages of examination i.e. Written Examination, Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Documentation will undergo Detailed Medical Examination (DME) which will be conducted by a Medical board to assess their fitness.
