The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) invites applications from candidates who have qualified respective educational qualifications to fill 71 vacancies of Assistant Commandant 01/2024 post through “Coast Guard AC 1/2024 Notification” from 25 January 2023 to 09 February 2023. Application Fee
After ensuring the correctness of the details in the Coast Guard Assistant Commandant 01/2024 application form, candidates are required to pay the Assistant Commandant 01/2024 application fee through the payment gateway on the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) website integrated with the online application. Online fee payment through Net Banking or debit / credit card will be available upto 14 February 2023 at 23.59 hrs.

The Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2023 fee payment can be made by using Debit card, Credit card and Net Banking etc by providing information as per the instructions on the your computer screen.
Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Age Limit
Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the Coast Guard Assistant Commandant online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation/ Higher Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.
- For Commercial Pilot CPL SSA: Born Between 01 July 1998 to 30 June 2004
- Law Entry: Born between 01 Jul 1994 to 30 Jun 2002 (Both dates inclusive)
- For Others : Born Between 01 July 1998 to 30 June 2002
Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.

Coast Guard Assistant Commandant AC 01/2024 Qualification
General Duty GD: (Male)
- Candidates Must Have Bachelor Degree with Minimum 60% Marks All Semester / Year
- Maths, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.
Commercial Pilot CPL SSA: (Male/ Female)
- Should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects with minimum 55% marks in Mathematics and Physics.
- Should possess current Commercial Pilot Licence issued/ validated by Director General Civil Aviation on the date of submission of application.
Technical Mechanical: (Male)
- BE / B.Tech Engineering Degree in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical/ Marine/ Automotive/ Mechatronics/ Industrial and Production/ Metallurgy/ Design/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace with Minimum 60% Marks.
- Maths, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.
Technical Electrical / Electronics: (Male)
- Engineering Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Instrumentation/ Instrumentation and Control/ Electronics and Communication/ Power Engineering/ Power Electronics with Minimum 60% Marks.
- Maths, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.
Law Entry: (Male/ Female)
- Must have Degree in Law from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
Maximum 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate for SC/ST candidates. No relaxation is applicable for 12th class marks except CPL-SSA entry. For more information read the official notification.
Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Selection Process
The selection of Officer Recruits is based on an all India order of merit which is based on the performance of candidate in various stages (I to V) of examination. Clearing of Stage I, II, III, IV and V is compulsory for recruitment in ICG Coast Guard AC 1/2024 batch. All candidates will be compulsorily subjected to biometric, photo identification and document verification during various stages of Assistant Commandant 1/2024 batch examination. The details of AC 1/2024 batch various stages of examination are as follows:-
Stage-I (CGCAT)
Phase-I will consist of the conduct of Screening Test for eligible applicants which will be a computer based test conducted at various centres across India. Screening test is to be conducted for the candidates applying for the post of GD/CPL and Technical (Mechanical/Electrical & Electronics).
The Screening Test will be conducted in multiple choice questions MCQ pattern carrying a maximum of 400 marks consisting of 100 questions with four marks for each correct answer and one negative marking penalty for each wrong answer. The duration of the exam will be of two hours only and the medium of test paper will be English. The candidate will have to appear the following test depending on the post applied for:-

Stage-II {Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)}
On the basis of performance in Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Stage-I, candidates will be shortlisted to appear in Stage-II (PSB) which will be conducted for one day at Noida, Mumbai/Goa, Chennai and Kolkata centres. Time to fill the application form to give the option of PSB centre to the candidates. Candidates will be tested through Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Computerized Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception and Discussion (PP&DT).
Coast Guard AC 01/2024 CCBT will be in English language only and will be of objective type. During PP&DT candidates are expected to speak and discuss in English. However, they are free to speak in Hindi if they wish to do so. Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Stage-II Examination is of qualifying nature only i.e. Pass or Fail.
Candidate’s & Documents Verification
Candidates reporting for Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Stage-II will first have to undergo photo and biometric verification. Candidates who have cleared Coast Guard AC 01/2024 PSB will have their document verification. Verification of the original documents brought by the candidates will be done as per the documents uploaded by the candidates during the Coast Guard AC 01/2024 registration for Phase-II.
Stage-III (FSB): Final Selection Board
The FSB call up letter along with reporting instructions will be intimated to candidates on personal Login IDs. FSB is conducted at the Coast Guard Selection Board located at Noida and spans over five days. The candidates are subjected to Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (candidates Personality test).
The Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Final Selection will be conducted tentatively from February – April 2023. All documents/certificates verified during PSB are also required to be produced in originals during FSB.
Stage-IV (Medical Examination)
Candidates clearing Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Stage-III have to undergo a special medical examination at Base Hospital, New Delhi. The candidates declared unfit in the Special Medical Board (SMB) are included in the merit list, as the candidates declared unfit in the SMB have the liberty to appeal against the decision and within 42 days of the completion of the SMB designated service. Will report to the hospital for appeal medical.
Stage-V (Induction)
The candidates who clear Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Stage – IV and stand in Merit List as per the vacancies available will be provisionally selected for training and will be required to report at INA Ezhimala for Naval Orientation Course as per the instructions. Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Merit List (All India) will be based on combined marks of Stage-I and Stage-III exam. Candidates reporting at INA Ezhimala for training will first undergo biometric and photo verification.
Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Result Declaration
The result of Coast Guard AC 01/2024 each stage of selection procedure from Stage-I to Stage-V can be accessed by login to the candidates account on ICG official website. The result of the online examination at Stage-I will be announced tentatively within 30 days.
Coast Guard AC Promotion and Pay Level
The promotions to the ranks will be as per the laid down promotion criteria. The pay scales for the various ranks are as per the 7th CPC are as follows. The other pay and allowances are admissible as per the rules and regulation in addition to the above pay scale:-
How to Apply for Coast Guard Assistant Commandant 01/2024
Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2023 On-line Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 09 February 2023 at 17.00 hrs. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of Assistant Commandant application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
